About Me

I am a 27 year old College Graduate looking for a new opportunity in game development. I have years of experience with programming and production leading. I recently received my BS in Computer Animation and Game Development from California State University, Chico. Video games have been a huge part of my life starting from a young age. Playing my Game Boy Color/ Advance on drives to either of my parents homes each weekend when I was a young child, mowing yards every week to earn enough for a Xbox360, learning electronic repair after a friend shattered my PSP's screen, and the endless all night Xbox Live sessions with friends were all integral aspects of my childhood.

The two biggest strengths I have in game design are programming and Game Directing. Programming in Unity and Unreal, I've created compete games both by myself, and with a team. Player Controls, Enemy AI, Level Mechanics, and Menus have consistently been some of my favorite parts of games to develop. As a Game Lead/ Producer/ Director or whatever one might call it, I love being able to lead a team of talented individuals to create a great piece of art. The game I am most proud of under my belt is Skate & Grind. Having the opportunity to not only draft a Game Doc, but then it get chosen was an incredible opportunity. Working with artists, designers, and programmers and learning each of their strengths, we were able to come together and make a great game. The best part of the game dev process during Skate & Grind was watching the game evolve from my initial vision to something else through everyone's own unique vision. The games art

Video Game development has always been a passion of mine, and was the entire reason I got into programming. In my projects, some tasks I have completed include:
-UI
-Collectible Management
-Score Systems
-Local Multiplayer,
-Enemy AI,
-Event Systems

While many of my tasks involved me creating all of the code from scratch, others involved me editing, integrating, and redoing other people's code. While it is a more difficult task, it is also rewarding to be able to understand someone else's code, especially if it isn't commented on.

I have loved Video Games my entire life. From playing my Dad's NES and Sega Genesis as a young child, to saving up money all of middle school to earn enough for my first self-bought console, an Xbox 360. The games that have inspired me the most:
- Donkey Kong 64
- Fallout 3
- Halo 3
- Sonic Adventure 2
- Left 4 Dead 2

Currently, two of my main hobbies are collecting and streaming games. I have been focusing on building my library of Gamecube and Xbox 360 games, two consoles that had a large impact on my life growing up. When streaming, my main goal is to show off game the average Twitch viewer may have not been exposed to, or only have a surface level knowledge of. The titles I plan on streaming include some licensed games, lukewarm reviewed First Person Shooters, and lesser known Nintendo titles.

Overall, I will continue to work on small independent projects and I am looking forward to working with a new team where I can improve on my skills and help the team achieve their project's fullest potential.
